Dr. Scripps, a native of Pittsburgh, PA, spent his childhood on a wrestling mat with dreams of one day becoming a doctor. After meeting a nationally renowned podiatric surgeon during his time as a student-athlete at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, he became interested in podiatry. Continuing his education at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine (1991-1995), Dr. Scripps then completed his podiatric surgical residency at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital (1995-1998). He has been published in the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr. Scripps is also a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and works closely with residents at Inova Fairfax Hospital. While treating various foot and ankle conditions both surgically and conservatively, a positive patient experience is of utmost importance to him.
He lives in Fredericksburg, VA, with his wife and three daughters and enjoys music, sports, and fitness, especially high-intensity training and running.
